CITY OF FOUNTAINS TOUR: here are a couple fountains facts: KC’s first fountains were used exclusively in the 1890s as troughs and drinking water bins for horses, and the city’s oldest fountain is dated back to 220 C.E.
From a memorial fountain dedicated to a WWII soldier, to a 60-foot indoor waterfall carved into a natural limestone hill, this tour is a must-see for fountain lovers.
Utilizing the KC Streetcar, we’ll ride the length of the downtown route to see five of the city’s 200+ fountains, earning us the name City of Fountains.
