Dive into Kansas City’s mob history with Cowtown Tours. Starting inside Union Station, we’ll retrace the final steps of mobster, Frank Jelly Nash, right before the bullets few, leading to the Kansas City Massacre of 1934.
On foot, we’ll explore a few of Boss Tom Pendergast’s hangouts in the Crossroads Arts District, before taking the KC Streetcar towards the old River Quay neighborhood.
This tour focuses on our city’s early mob history, leading up to the 1930s. Stories of bootleggers, prostitution, abductions, gambling and saloons will be shared. We may stop into a secret speakeasy for a drink*, if the group is interested! (but, only if you know the password!!!)
This walking tour uses the free KC Streetcar for transportation. Be ready to walk approximately 1.5-miles during the tour.
*Drinks not included.
